Objectives

Illustrators are generally hired to create drawings that tell a story, message, or idea for a wide range of clients, including brands, advertisements, books, magazines, packaging, and more. At NeXskill, You will also be taught the latest Adobe Creative Suite software including Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects in up-to-date Apple Mac studios.
Course Content
This course explores a number of areas of illustration; from editorial and character design to comic books and book cover design. You will develop a portfolio to industry standard, preparing you for your transition into employment or further study.
Furthermore, the beginning of this degree focuses on exploring illustration practices, visual practices and sequential Illustration. You will explore narrative illustration, editorial illustration and motion graphics. You will also undertake a work placement to develop your on-the-job confidence, experience and skill set.

This degree is the perfect area to study if you are looking to further your skills or retrain in the commercial creative industry. This course has been set up to provide you with a vocationally relevant qualification in the dynamic world of commercial illustration. You might currently be studying a Level 3, A Level, or Access to Higher Education course; be returning to education after a break, or wish to transfer from another higher education institution. It may also be possible for you to join this course in its second or third year following relevant qualifications and/or experience in the workplace.
